About the 2nd European STXBP1 summit and research roundtable 2025
The 2nd European STXBP1 Summit and Research Roundtable will be joined in 2025 in a unique event that will combine three crucial perspectives on STXBP1-Encephalopathy in Heidelberg, Germany. STXBP1-Encephalopathy has evolved to one of the most common causes for childhood neuro- developmental disorders, including the severe childhood epilepsies West syndrome, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and other epileptic encephalopathies. The STXBP1 gene plays an important role in the neurosynaptic transmission. STXBP1 therapy research is a model disease of targeted therapies with new approaches from RNA/DNA gene replacement therapies.
The aim of the STXBP1 summit 2025 is to follow-up on the latest research on STXBP1-E and to strengthen collaborative networks. We strongly believe that we can advance our understanding of this rare epileptic disorder and advance the search for better therapies and a cure by extensive collaboration with both the international research community and the STXBP1 families who have their own personal expertise with the disease. To this aim, we invite professionals and patient advocates from all over Europe, also addressing under-represented countries, to join the 2nd European STXBP1 Summit in Heidelberg, Germany.
Joining the 2nd European STXBP1 Summit and Research Roundtable, you will have the opportunity to listen to the latest, unpublished updates on STXBP1 and related epileptic disorders from leading experts in the field of pathophysiology, clinical presentation, biomarkers, trial readiness and therapeutic advances. You will have the opportunity to interact and network with leading experts in pediatric and adult neurology, neurodevelopmental disorders, epilepsy, neurogenetics and neuroscience, and representatives from patient advocacy groups.
